The Story:
When Francie brags to her friends Stella and Chiffon that she has her own
private clubhouse, everyone agrees to meet there for Comics Club. But the
"clubhouse" is really an old tool shed, and no in Francie's family has time help
her fix it up. Mom's busy with the new twins, Tobias and Mathias; Dad's putting
in the new freezer; her sister Dolores is sewing, sewing, sewing for her
dollhouse; and her brother Ambrose is searching for his pet hamsters, which
Francie accidentally let loose. It seems things can't get much worse, but
then Sister Ursula Agnes keeps Francie after school on
the day of the first Comics Club meeting…"
